Emily Knaul, a chemical engineering major from Sudbury, Mass., runs a three-mile leg in rural Georgia on The Tiger Trail, a 1,400-mile, eight-day, non-stop running relay with 14 other past and present members of the RIT women’s cross country and track and field squad. The team began their run in Auburn, Ala., on March 21. They visited six other colleges with tiger mascots to raise money and awareness for Tigers for Tigers (T4T), a coalition to help tiger conservation in the wild. There are 56 tiger mascot colleges and universities in North America, and about 3,200 tigers left in the wild. Their run took them through Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.
