Rochester-area veterans and veteran supporters are invited to attend a special networking event at Rochester Institute of Technology. The program will feature networking opportunities and a keynote address from Chris Coker, owner of Suit Soldier, a company focused on helping veterans gain the skills they need to succeed in their lives after they leave service.

The event takes place from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, in the Simone Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship on RIT’s campus. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.

“This will be a chance for veterans to meet with others veterans and learn about ways to help propel their careers forward,” said Rachel Flaherty, director for Veterans Upward Bound at RIT. “Veterans have earned opportunities like this, and we want to help them advance their careers and take advantage of resources and programs available to them, whether here at RIT, at other colleges or trade schools.”

This event is sponsored by Veterans Upward Bound at RIT, Veterans Services at RIT and the Simone Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Representatives from the Rochester Veterans Business Council, Veterans Outreach Center and Team RWB will also be on hand to meet with attendees.
