Randy Henderson, president of Henderson Ford in Webster, N.Y., left, assumed the role of Minett Professor for 2015 and is serving as a student mentor and community advocate with RIT’s Division for Diversity. He met recently with students Devren Purdie, center, and Bernard Rodgers from the division’s MOCHA (Men of Color, Honor and Ambition) program. There have been 25 Minett Professors, including Henderson, since this program began in 1991. They are distinguished Rochester-area multicultural professionals who work with RIT’s students, faculty and staff members for one academic year.
