Summer 2021 COVID-19 Guidelines for Students
As you consider your plans for this summer, please carefully review the COVID-19 guidelines for summer 2021.
Summer Circulation: You do not need to complete a summer circulation plan indicating your plans to circulate on campus.
Daily Health Screen: Students who are enrolled in courses with an in-person option, on a summer housing contract, working in-person on campus, or having other significant on-campus activity (research, for example) are required to complete the Daily Health Screen every day, seven days a week, and will receive daily email reminders throughout the summer (May 17, 2021 through August 15, 2021).
If you are not in one of the groups listed above, you will not receive Daily Health Screen emails over the summer. You may continue to receive Daily Health Screen email reminders daily throughout the month of May as we transition to summer. Please complete the Daily Health Screen if you intend to circulate on campus and disregard if you are no longer on campus.
COVID-19 Testing: There is no planned Tiger Testing requirement for students who are on campus this summer. The Student Health Center will continue to manage testing for students who are experiencing symptoms of or have a known exposure to COVID-19.
Seasonal Flu Vaccine: You are not required to submit proof of a 2020-21 seasonal flu vaccine to circulate on campus this summer.
Student COVID-19 Training: If you have not yet completed the COVID-19 training in the 2020-21 academic year, you must do so prior to your arrival on campus for the summer 2021 term.
COVID-19 Vaccination: You are not required to have received your COVID-19 vaccination in order to circulate on campus this summer. It will however be required for the fall semester. In the interest of public health, you are encouraged to get vaccinated as soon as you are able.
Information regarding COVID-19 guidelines for fall 2021 will be forthcoming.
