Is your face on Facebook? Well, join the club (the Dateline: RIT ‘club,’ that is) Dateline: RIT, Podcasts

A couple weeks ago, I invited you to join the Dateline: RIT Facebook Group—which provides another convenient way to stay informed about RIT news.

The group offers “one-stop shopping”: Summaries about and links to RIT news podcasts, blog, e-newsletter and Web site, plus popular Facebook features such as “The Wall,” where members can write messages to other members and visitors.

Anyone can visit and join: The group isn’t restricted to the RIT Facebook network (though you must be a registered Facebook user).

Here are some other Facebook groups you might want to check out:

Imagine RIT (A group devoted to next spring’s “Imagine RIT Innovation+Creativity Festival”)

I wear Orange & Brown on Fridays! (The name says it all.)

Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing @ Rochester Institute of Technology (NTID’s “official” Facebook Group)

Society of Women Engineers (A group for and about RIT’s student section of SWE)

PRSSA: RIT Chapter (A group for those interested in the RIT chapter of the Public Relations Society of America)

RIT Social Work Alumni (A new group for graduates of RIT’s undergrad social work program, which disbanded last spring)

RIT Football Team? (Another new group, this one for the wishful thinkers—though probably also naive—among us)

. . . and hundreds of others connecting you to RIT-related interests and people (including some that I can—but won’t—mention here, if you catch my drift! ;-)

Studio 86 ‘On the Road’ II: Formula SAE Road to Detroit

Recently, Kate Gleason College of Engineering beat reporter Will Dube and I “hit the road” to talk with members of RIT’s Formula SAE racing team. Listen to the second installment in our yearlong series of podcasts following the team as it prepares for competition next spring.

Have a great weekend, happy holidays and wonderful break!
