News & Events features Imagine projects Inside N&E

As the RIT community gears up for the Imagine RIT: Innovation and Creativity Festival on May 3, News & Events is doing its part to help steer the event into the spotlight.

Each issue of News & Events leading up to the festival will feature a brief profile of a project that will debut at the event. The current issue, which hits stands Feb. 21, features a profile on a student/faculty team from the College of Liberal Arts investigating the level of exposure of toxic pollutants affecting residents of communities in New York state; previously, we featured teams designing and building steel bridges and “green” vehicles.

We hope to profile at least one project with team members representing each RIT college, giving readers a good sample of the variety of projects. In addition to these short profiles, we also plan to run longer feature stories about certain projects and the students, faculty and staff behind these innovations.

Check out each issue of News & Events for these project profiles, and visit the festival Web site for even more details: www.rit.edu/imagine.
