RIT students to stay ‘Up ’til Dawn’ Events

You’ve probably seen the banners. You may have spotted that big box walking around campus. You may even have written letters. Now it’s time for it all to come to an end.

Up ’til Dawn, a student-run group that is raising money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, is hosting its final event of the year on April 25. And it’ll be an all-night affair. The evening kicks off at 11 p.m. in Clark Gym. It will feature musical performances, raffles, a breakfast sponsored by RIT President Bill Destler and a guest speaker who has directly been impacted by the outstanding work that is done at St. Jude’s.

The night will conclude, just before 5 a.m., with the announcement of the grand total that the group will be able to donate to St. Jude’s—the bulk of which came from a letter-writing campaign that took place this year.

It promises to be a night filled with both fun and inspiration. Organizers are hoping more than 400 people turn out to celebrate. Be sure to check it out.
