You may have noticed that News & Events is delivering one day later than usual—Sept. 5, instead of our previously published delivery date, Sept. 4. We fell a little behind due to the Labor Day holiday, although I really thought we would still be able to pull it off. Guess not…The truth is that we would rather put out a top notch edition a day later than run the risk of running an edition with errors. Several pairs of eyes reviewed the issue before it went to the printer, and as is always the case, some minor editing errors were caught at the eleventh hour.
In the Sept. 5 issue, we’ve highlighted Bill Destler’s welcome address to the RIT community; the entertainment schedule for Brick City Homecoming weekend; a substantial grant for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute; a feature on the grand re-opening of Brick City Café in the Student Alumni Union; and the opening of the New York State Pollution Institute, among other stories.
As was mentioned in a previous blog, we’re excited to return to our normal biweekly schedule, and we’re looking forward to bringing you lots more RIT news in the coming months.
