My colleagues warned me that April/May is our busy season. Boy are they right!
A lot has been going on around campus, and we still have a few more weeks until the academic year comes to a close. In early April, we had back-to-back announcements about the Institute of Health Sciences and Technology and the new facility for the Golisano Institute for Sustainability. We also announced the donation of a scoreboard for the new ice hockey arena. We’ve had our share of sad news, too, with the discovery of missing student George Delany’s remains.
May has a lot to offer, with the Big Shot on Thursday at The Strong, Imagine RIT (my first one!) on Saturday, and commencement right around the corner. And our staff is busy working on Athenaeum, which comes out May 19, and the fall edition of RIT: The University Magazine. And don’t forget about our “regular” news about awards, research, lectures and other events.
Whew! Is it June yet?
