Harris "Bud" Rusitzky is the 2001 recipient of RIT's Nathaniel Rochester Society Award, given annually to an individual who has contributed to the advancement of RIT in an outstanding manner. Rusitzky received a B.S. in food administration in 1956 and an M.S. in hospitality/tourism management in 1991. In 1965 he founded the Rochester-based Serv-Rite Food Service Corp., which became a multimillion dollar operation. He is founder and president of The Greening Group. He has received many awards from RIT, and has served on the Board of Trustees since 1972. He and his wife, Joan, charter members of the Nathaniel Rochester Society, have been long-time, generous supporters of the university's hospitality and service management programs and students.
