A group of 45 alumni and friends attended a reception at Legal
Sea Foods with special guest Mary-Beth Cooper, vice president
for student affairs, on Monday, Jan. 31.
Buffalo
Alumni came out to support the RIT men’s hockey team against
Niagara University on Saturday, Nov. 19.
Buffalo alumni cheered on the Bills as they took on the New England
Patriots Sunday, Dec. 11.

A reception and tour will take place at the Albright-Knox Museum

Chicago
Alumni and guests enjoyed an evening at Tru Restaurant with special
guest, executive pastry chef Gale Gand ’81 on Thursday,
March 9. Gand provided guests with a private demonstration while
she created one of her signature dishes.

Alumni in Ithaca, N.Y., came out to support RIT’s men’s
Division 1 Hockey against Cornell on Saturday, Jan. 7.
Upcoming events
Have fun this summer with RIT and come sailing on Seneca Lake,
Saturday, July 8, in the Malabar X, a classic schooner. Then
enjoy a private walking tour of Taughannock Falls State Park
on Saturday, Aug. 26. Registration will soon be available on

Los Angeles
Alumni and friends enjoyed lunch and a tour at The Getty Center
on Saturday, March 25. Special thanks to host Jennifer
Lindstrom ’99.
New York City
Fennel-and-garlic-crusted filet mignon served with pumpkin custard
was just one of the tasty treats alumni prepared in a private
cooking class on Thursday, Feb. 23, with host Barbara
Welsh ’91.
Mike Larson ’93 and Dean Guite ’95 hosted the chapter’s
hockey night on Thursday, April 6, with the Rangers taking on the
Islanders. This was a sell-out alumni event!

This summer, tickets will be available for a Mets game and there
will be the annual alumni outing to the U.S. Tennis Open in September.

Another sold-out alumni event for 76ers basketball. Alumni and
friends enjoyed discount tickets to the Sunday, March 5, game
with host Aviva Dubrow ’91.

Save the date for Phillies baseball as alumni-priced tickets
will soon be available for the Sunday, July 9, game.
The Alumni Relations Office has placed a special order for tickets
to King Tut and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs. This exclusive
traveling exhibit will be coming to Philadelphia in February 2007.

Phoenix
Al Cheves ’88 and Kathy Goll ’02 hosted a fun afternoon
at Buffalo Wild Wings on Saturday, Jan. 21. Good wings and good
conversation were enjoyed by all.
Pittsburgh

29, as the Pittsburgh Pirates take on the San Francisco Giants

More than 20 alumni and friends enjoyed the down-to-the-last-second
Duke women’s basketball game with North Carolina State
on Sunday, Jan. 29. Before the game, dinner was enjoyed by all
and included special guest speaker Mary-Beth Cooper, vice president
for student affairs. Thank you to Dave Page ’66 for all
his efforts coordinating this fun evening.
Rochester
A wine and food pairing at Pittsford Wegmans’ Tastings Restaurant
was enjoyed by alumni and guests on Monday, Dec. 5. Special thanks
to our hosts for the evening, Alina Palis ’79 and Kristy
Mooney-Graves ’00.
Rochester
Alumni attended a performance of Feelin’ Groovy: The Hits
of the ’60s and ’70s on Friday, Jan. 20. The Grammy
Award-winning jazz vocal ensemble New York Voices covered classics
from the Beatles to Motown to Simon & Garfunkel.
The Lion King at the Auditorium Theatre was attended by alumni
and guests on Sunday, March 12. A private reception before the
performance was enjoyed by all. Thanks to our hosts Alina
Palis ’79
and Donna Bell ’83.
Alumni and guests relaxed during a special evening at the Del
Monte Spa on Monday, April 3. Special thanks to our hosts Trina
St. Louis ’97 and Susan Shanks ’97.

A sold-out group of 50 alumni and friends attended the exclusive
exhibit King Tut and the Golden Age of the Pharoahs at the Ft.
Lauderdale Museum of Art on Saturday, March 11. Special thanks
to host Paul Finkelstein ’91 for helping organize this
special event.
Syracuse

Texas

On Jan. 14, alumni and guests in Dallas toured Delany Vineyards
and sampled various wines with host Jackie
Gonsalves ’01.
The next day, alumni from San Antonio and Austin gathered for
a tour of Natural Bridge Caverns followed by a pizza party.
Washington, D.C.
Mary-Beth Cooper, vice president for student affairs, and Brian
O’Shaughnessy ’81, ’84 talked to alumni and
guests at the chapter’s Library of Congress event. A private
tour of the facility was enjoyed along with a reception at the
historic site.
