Enrollment Trends

• 84 percent undergraduate; 16 percent graduate.
  
  
• 74 percent full-time; 26 percent part-time.
  
  
• Freshmen applications increased nearly 50 percent from 1996 to 2002. RIT received a record 8,858 freshmen applications in 2002.
  
  
• About 39 percent of enrollment is new to RIT each year. This includes freshmen, transfers, graduate students, non traditional part-time and students at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf.
  
  
• 17,000 full- and part-time undergraduate and graduate students by 2010.
