Johnson wins teaching award

Joan Johnson '82 (MBA) and '76 (hospitality management) received the SUNY Morrisville Distinguished Faculty Award
in May .

Johnson, who holds a Ph.D. from Syracuse University, is a professor and curriculum coordinator in the School of Business/Hospitality Department at Morrisville. She joined the faculty there in 1981 and is founder and advisor of the Morrisville chapter of the International Food Service Executives Association.

Among her career honors, Johnson received the Award for Excellence in Teaching from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development in 1996.
