Winans publishes in ‘Journal of Second Language Teacher Education’
Michael Winans, specialist in applied linguistics in the English Language Center, published “The Process of Becoming: Professionalization during Second Language Teacher Education" in the Journal of Second Language Teacher Education. The article explores how professionalization in language teaching is shaped by perceptions, evaluations, and teaching contexts, both real and imagined, alongside past experiences. This ongoing socialization process is influenced by personal, cultural, and social factors, as well as evolving demands for language acquisition.
