SEEDS-International

Ayumi Maeya

I have been studying at Tokyo Metropolitan Chuo School for the Deaf for about five years since graduating from a hearing school in Tokyo. My family is hearing and my father is a sushi chef. I enjoy playing sports, especially basketball and volleyball. I am excited about participating in the SEEDS project because I want to communicate deeply with the American students and I learn from the both of the different cultures in Japan and America. Also, I am interested in the food culture and sports in the States. I’m going to do my best in Rochester to voice the thoughts and feelings of other 6 students, who cannot go with us this time.
