Georgianna came to CERP after working more than ten years as a sign language interpreter at RIT, most often in the Colleges of Science and Engineering. It was natural fit, having had a career as a high-tech nurse in both private duty and hospital settings. Applying her interests in the fields of science and education, Georgianna currently is a research assistant in the Center for Education Research Partnerships. Focusing on deaf students' accessing educational material, her research investigates metacognition and deaf students' background, literacy and learning strategies in the classroom.
