Attend the five-day Is It For You: Starting Your Own Business? workshop on June 11-15, 2012 at a cost of $500, at RIT/NTID in Rochester, NY. The workshop will be held daily from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
This workshop provides participants with an introduction to starting, organizing and managing their own business. The primary focus of this workshop is to provide the necessary skills and tools to develop an effective business plan.
Prerequisites
This workshop is designed for individuals who are considering starting their own business. Participants who attend this workshop should have an idea of their product or service that they intend to sell. A background in business is helpful but not required.
Instructor: Mark J. Pfuntner
Mark J. Pfuntner is an Associate Professor and has been an NTID faculty member for more than eleven years. He has an MBA degree from R.I.T. and has taught courses in Orientation to Business, Small Business Organizations, Management, Marketing, and Business Software Applications. He has been involved in offering series of workshops to the deaf community focusing on owning a small business for potential entrepreneurs and NTID’s President Roundtable on Deaf Entrepreneurship.
