ITC Announces 2009-10 theme: "Fostering a Community of Practice"

The ITC theme for 2009-10 will be “Fostering a Community of Practice”. The “community” is faculty and staff engaged in or interested in the education of deaf and hard of hearing students at RIT and the “practice“ is empowering faculty through the use of techniques, tools and technologies that enhance teaching and learning.

The Sloan-C Emerging Technology Conference or "What I did on YOUR summer vacation!" by Clare Dygert

At the end of June, I was able to attend the Sloan Consortium conference on emerging technology held in beautiful San Francisco. It was a great conference, and I got a lot of really wonderful ideas from the speakers. This is the first in a series of reports on some of the more interesting tidbits I picked up there. Prezi is an interesting web tool for presentations. It could also be used for mind-mapping as well.
