RIT Scholarship Form - Instructions

There will be certain designated times that you can enter scholarship on the RIT Scholarship site. Academic Affairs will send an email out to all faculty to announce these entry periods.

Please read the following instructions before filling out any forms.


Go to the RIT Scholarship site and login using your RIT username and password

• BASIC INFORMATION section

  1. Enter your RIT username
     
  2. Select your College and Department from the pull down lists
    • When you select NTID in the College field, you will see two sections open up that are labeled “Required by NTID Faculty”. These areas have been added specifically for NTID Faculty to enter scholarship information needed for our DOE reports.
       
    • Also, note that a Project can be any kind of work: an article, an art exhibit, a grant, etc. It does not have to be research-based.

     

• “Required by NTID Faculty” sections
    (fill in ALL the fields, NTID requires this information for our DOE reports.)

  1. For NTID Research Center, select from the pull-down list. Leave the setting at "None" if your work was not affiliated with any of the centers.
     
  2. We must have a Project Title to report your work, do not leave this field blank. You may use the same title as you enter later in the form in the Citation Information section.
     
  3. We must have a start date, plus anticipated end date and/or actual end date; do not leave blank.
     
  4. For the Projected Cost field, enter 0, or the cost associated with completing your work.
     
  5. For Funding Sources select from the list, either: Annual Budget, Grant, Other
     
  6. For the Product Resulting from Research, give a short description of the result of your work. For example, book documenting the history of ASL, research on more efficient real-time captioning methods, etc
     
  7. For In Press, indicate Yes/No whether your work has been accepted for publication but is not yet published.
     
  8. We MUST have an Abstract of your work to report. If your work does not have what is traditionally called an abstract, just enter a short description of your work. This applies to creative works as well.
     

• TYPE (of work) section

  1. Select the type of work that you are submitting from the pull down list (e.g., Journal Paper, Book Chapter, Shows/Exhibits/Installations, etc).
     
  2. Other fields will appear for you to complete that are associated with that TYPE of work.
     

• CITATION INFORMATION section

  1. Please do not leave empty any fields that pertain to your work.
     
  2. A citation will be created from these fields. It’s important that you supply all the information requested to create a well-formed citation.
