Program does not provide substance abuse counseling or alcohol/drug abuse
services. We work with Deaf on a variety of issues, including access
to programs such as AA meetings, etc. At this point, Vermont's Alcohol/Drug
Abuse Program has put aside money to cover the cost of interpreters for
AA meetings. The program also has funding for interpreters for individual
counseling needs of Deaf Vermonters.

While all substance abuse prevention and treatment programs in the
state of Vermont make every effort to accommodate persons with disabilities
to the extent possible, there are no programs which offer specific services
for the deaf.

among the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance
Abuse Services (OASAS), Rochester Institute of Technology, and the Monroe
