RIT TechGirlz Camp

A week-long summer camp for girls with hearing loss entering 7th, 8th or 9th grade who are interested in science, technology, engineering and math.

Program Activities

The TechGirlz daytime schedule for the week will take you to different locations and give you activities where you can:

  • Build your own personal computer to take home*
  • Use forensic science and analyze a crime scene
  • Design a web page and learn to use animation
  • Tour behind the scenes at an amusement park
  • Have fun with chemistry
  • Create a 3-D design and construct a product with computer assisted drafting

And in the evening, you can:

  • Enjoy sports like bowling, swimming, softball, or just walking around campus
  • Have fun at an amusement park
  • Go to the movies
  • Experience the night sky through astronomy
  • Attend an ice cream social
  • “Shake it up” at a dance party or show your talent at a dance party

* Students will take home an assembled PC tower. Monitor, keyboard and mouse not included.
