When You Arrive
You and your family are responsible for arranging transportation to the program. From the airport, train or bus station, shuttle transportation is available directly to RIT for $18 each way (includes fare and tip). Contact us at 585-475-7695 voice/TTY between 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday or by e-mail at TechGirlz@ntid.rit.edu to let us know if you want shuttle transportation and we will make reservations. Most TechGirlz parents come to campus and check in and check out with their daughter, and we encourage your parents or guardians to do that as well, if possible.
Check in – Move in – Registration: Arrive at Ellingson Hall between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm on the Sunday that the program starts. Ellingson Hall is building 50A on this map and located just behind the Lyndon Baines Johnson Building #60 (also called LBJ) where many of the program activities will occur. Just follow the signs to the parking and unloading areas.
If your parents or guardians don’t bring you, please contact them when you arrive so they know you made it here safely. While we will do our best to be available if your parents or guardians call, move-in day will be very busy for you and for us. Contacting your parents/guardians immediately will relieve their concerns and allow you to connect before you become involved in program activities.
