RIT wins Google’s street view trike contest

You’ll be able to virtually explore campus when RIT becomes the next university to be featured in Google’s prestigious Street View Gallery. A specialty designed tricycle or “trike” will cruise around campus this spring and snap photographs, providing a continuous stream of 360-degree images that will later be organized for public viewing. RIT’s selection resulted from of an online contest, held last fall, in which the university received a higher number of votes than any other U.S. location participating in the contest.
