Gifted RIT/NTID student gives hope, life to others

Lauren Aggen, an Applied Liberal Arts student at RIT/NTID, received a heart transplant when she was eight days old. She has written a book about her life experience to express her gratitude to her donor’s parents. Lauren is educating others about organ donation, and encouraged 14 people to become donors during a recent theater production at NTID. Read more.

RIT’s global reflections

Rochester Institute of Technology had a momentous year in 2010. The university marked success in many areas, including enrollment, research, athletics and community service projects. New facilities and programs have enhanced both the physical landscape of the campus and the opportunities available to students.

Enrollment hit an all-time high with a combined 17,200 students at the Rochester, N.Y., campus and RIT’s satellite campuses around the world. RIT continues to expand its global relationships with Kosovo, Dubai, Croatia, the Dominican Republic, Turkey, China, India and South America.

RIT’s mascot, RITchie, traveled the globe to ask RIT students to reflect on their accomplishments in 2010 and their wishes for the new year. We hope you enjoy their video messages.

RIT Named to Princeton Review’s Best 300 Business Schools

Rochester Institute of Technology’s E. Philip Saunders College of Business was selected for inclusion in the 2011 edition of Princeton Review’s Best 300 Business Schools.

In six consecutive years since 2004, Saunders undergraduate programs have ranked in the top five percent of all U.S. business schools. The 2010 U.S. News & World Report America’s Best Colleges ranked the undergraduate business program as 57th. In 2009, The Princeton Review named the Saunders College as one of the “Great Schools for Accounting Majors!” Read more.
