The RIT women’s hockey team claimed its first NCAA Division III Women’s Ice Hockey National Championship, defeating defending national champion Norwich University. It’s the third national championship won by any RIT team in the history of the university. More.

RIT/NTID alumnus Sean Forbes ’08 (multidisciplinary studies) created the nonprofit organization D-PAN, which translates popular songs into American Sign Language music videos. Forbes, who has been deaf since he was an infant, signed with the same record label that discovered rap artist Eminem. More.
