RIT establishes the Thomas H. Gosnell School of Life Sciences

A $5 million commitment from the Gosnell Family  will create the Thomas H. Gosnell School of Life Sciences, which incorporates the university’s academic programs in Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology and Molecular Bioscience, and Environmental Science—all housed within RIT’s College of Science. Thomas Gosnell, who passed away in 2009, served 15 years on RIT’s Board of Trustees and is Gosnell Hall’s namesake. More.

RIT Named Among Princeton Review’s ‘322 Green Colleges’

The Princeton Review, in collaboration with the U.S. Green Building Council, has named Rochester Institute of Technology among the nation’s most environmentally responsible green colleges.

RIT is included in The Princeton Review’s Guide to 322 Green Colleges: 2012 Edition, which profiles institutions of higher education in the United States and Canada that demonstrate notable commitments to sustainability in their academic offerings, campus infrastructure, activities and career preparation. RIT has also been recognized in the previous two editions of the guidebook. More.
