RIT Named ‘Bicycle Friendly University’

The League of American Bicyclists has named Rochester Institute of Technology a Bicycle Friendly University. The Bicycle Friendly University program recognizes institutions of higher education for promoting and providing a more bicycle friendly campus for students, staff and visitors. More.

Wonder what it’s like to be a student at RIT/NTID? What are classes like? What can I do on campus? You probably have a lot of questions about college and our student ambassadors are here to assist you!

Our ambassadors work closely with the NTID Office of Admissions and are the students you will see giving campus tours, participating in open houses and generally representing the best of our students at RIT/NTID. All lead busy lives inside and outside the classroom. Meet these students and follow their blogs and get insight on what it’s truly like to be a student at RIT/NTID.

Tunnels tell stories of the times

Hockey arena update

The Gene Polisseni Center, RIT’s new hockey arena, will feature state-of-the-art amenities and will approximately double the seating capacity of the existing Ritter Arena, which accommodates 2,100 fans. RIT/NTID students join alumni to make a music video

RIT/NTID alumni Sean Forbes, a rap musician; Matt Hamill, NCAA wrestling champ and former UFC contender; and Adrean Mangiardi, video director, took over the Frisina Quad on RIT’s campus and enlisted student talent to film a music video for “The Hammer,” a movie about Hamill’s life, which was filmed in part on the RIT campus and which will be opening in select theaters nationwide on Oct 27th. Freshmen welcomed at Tiger Walk

Here’s a quick glimpse of RIT’s annual Tiger Walk, where the RIT community turns out to welcome the incoming freshman class. This year, 2,750 first-year students, including more than 300 deaf and hard-of-hearing students from across the United States, received a rousing welcome from fellow students, faculty and staff.
