Quality Management - Basic

Program Overview

Two quality management certificates are offered. The certificate in basic quality teaches the "nuts and bolts" of a quality organization, and prepares you to introduce quality concepts to your organization. This program of study, together with the quality implementation Certificate, can prepare you to work as a quality trainer, facilitator, team leader, or manager at various levels of an organization.

This program is offered through the Center for Multidisciplinary Studies.

Poor quality in manufacturing and service can cost companies as much as 20 percent of revenue in rework, scrap, brand switching and loss of goodwill. Organizations have begun to understand that prevention saves more time and money than discovery of flaws after the fact.

Developed in cooperation with industry, our quality management courses combine the theory and practice of statistical quality control with leadership, teamwork and problem-solving concepts and skills.
