Transfer Students and Families:
Transfer Transition Series

In early summer each transfer student received a comprehensive “Transition Handbook” that included all of the information they will need prior to arrival on campus. Catch-up mailings will be done periodically after the initial batch. For a PDF of this publication, click here.

In early August, we will send all transfer students an e-newsletter that has been specially created to meet their needs and includes details about all available support services, Week of Welcome events, etc. We will do catch-up mailings each week after the initial mailing.

To assist you in your first few days on campus, we will have welcome tables in the lobby of the Student Alumni Union (SAU), Bldg. 4, the first three days of the quarter (September 1-3, 2008) from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The tables will be staffed by the Division of Student Affairs and will have campus maps, resource materials, internet access, and the ability to answer any questions or direct you to the appropriate resources. Feel free to stop by if you have any questions and look for the people in the “Welcome New Students !” shirts.

To wrap up the Transfer Transition series there will be a Welcome Reception from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm September 12, 2008 in the RITz Sports Zone, which is located on the A-level of the Student Alumni Union (SAU), Bldg. 4,. Please drop by this social event that will include refreshments and some fun activities designed to help you meet other new students.
