TWC Out-n-About Teams Driving Collaboration
With the creation of The Wallace Center (TWC), an opportunity presented itself for the enhanced collaboration between faculty in the colleges and TWC staff members. By leveraging the connections already established by the Reference Librarians and teaming them with Instructional Designers and Publication Specialists (members of the Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship Support group), broader levels of service and support are being provided to faculty members. Thus far more than 20 engagements have taken place across all eight colleges with the E. Philips Saunders College of Business driving the greatest level of new activity. Through these collaborations, we intend to help turn RIT into a category-of-one national university.
The Emerging Leaders Program @ RIT starts off with a ROAR!!!
Thirty six faculty and staff were selected from more than 90 applicants to participate in the Emerging Leaders Program @ RIT. The first session was held on November 20th. Sponsored by the Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs, the program is designed to provide the leadership theories, practices, and skills needed to support emerging higher education leaders. Action-research team projects offer experiential learning opportunities for participants and a chance to apply leadership concepts to real-world projects that will benefit the entire RIT community.
