  • Samuel McQuade III, Ph.D., had his article “Cyber and Internet Offenses” published in The Encyclopedia of Victimology and Crime Prevention from SAGE Publishing.
  • Tom Moran had the fourth and final volume in the series Writing for Success: An Engineer’s Guide published. The final volume, Writing for Life is available as an e-book through IEEE-USA.
  • Tom Hanney had his article “Writing Well in Business” published in the September 2012 issue of the Croatian magazine Direktor.

CMS Interim Director Announced

We are happy to announce that Mary Boyd has been named the interim director of the Center for Multidisciplinary Studies for the 2012-2013 academic year. "Mary is a long-time member of the CMS faculty and brings to this position great experience and a real commitment to make sure that the students are well served during this next year," says Dr. Jeremy Haefner, provost and senior vice president for Academic Affairs

CMS Staff Recognition

CMS had four staff members nominated for the President’s Staff Award for Excellence. Michelle Firnstein and Dan Howell were nominated for their work on customized Individual Advisement Plans worksheets in CMS; Elizabeth White was nominated as part of the Council of Scheduling Officers; Lea Stavoli was nominated as part of the Campus Advocacy Response & Support (CARES) Team. The CARES Team was awarded the President’s Staff Award for Excellence.
