Conference Awards

RIT, in association with Paradigm Environmental Services, Inc., is proud to announce the Paradigm Award which will be presented at the Effective Access Technology Conference and Dinner to be held June 17th at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. This prize will be awarded to the most innovative new access technology presented at the conference. The winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize, six months free rent and services from the RIT Venture Creations Incubator, an arranged meeting with an angel investor group, and a handcrafted award.

Competition Judges

Geoffrey Rosenberger

Geoffrey Rosenberger is currently the managing member of Lily Pond Ventures, LLC. Prior to his retirement in 2004, he was a co-founder and served as the Managing Director of Clover Capital Management, Inc., an investment management firm that was sold in 2008 to Federated Investors, and is now known as Federated Clover Investment Advisors. Prior experience also includes serving as a security analyst and portfolio manager at Manning & Napier Advisors, Inc.

Robert P. Jacobson

Robert P. Jacobson is currently the President of L-3’s Tactical SATCOM Sector as well as President of L-3 Global Communications Solutions (GCS). Bob also serves as Senior Vice President of International Sales and Marketing of L-3 Communication Systems Group. Bob oversees sales activities on Major Accounts and International Markets for the $2.1 Billion Communication Systems Division. L-3 GCS is a leading supplier of satellite communications equipment and airtime.

Dennis M. Mullen

Dennis M. Mullen is Managing Partner of The Mullen Group, LLC, where he works with executives from across the country to create winning strategies that position businesses for profitability and long-term growth. Prior to opening his firm, Dennis was Chairman and CEO of Empire State Development, Commissioner of the New York State Department of Economic Development, and the CEO of Greater Rochester Enterprise (GRE). Prior to his public service, he served for 10 years as the chairman, president and CEO of Birds Eye Foods.

James A. Magee, Jr.

James A. Magee, Jr. is the founder and CEO of Paradigm Environmental Services, Inc., an environmental consulting and material testing firm established in 1988. Paradigm has offices located in Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, and Albany. James currently is a member of the McQuaid Jesuit High School Board of Trustees, a member of the Board of Trustees of the American Red Cross, Vice President of the Board for Mind, Body and Soul, a non-profit organization, Advisory Board Member of Genesee Valley Trust, and President of the Board of Employee Associates.

The conference wraps up June 18th with the presentation of the Al Sigl Community of Agencies Award for Best Poster and the L-3 Award for Best Adaptive Technology.
