The RIT/A.U.K. Center for Energy and Natural Resource Development is a partnership of Rochester Institute of Technology; the A.U.K.; multiple Ministries of the Kosovo Government; and international organizations focusing on the development of Kosovo’s energy and natural resources. The Center focuses on workforce development, consulting, research, and the dissemination of information and data associated with the development of Kosovo’s energy and natural resource markets. The Center for Energy and Natural Resource Development (CENR) provides multi-faceted training opportunities and activities to both the public and private sectors of Kosovo with the goal of building self-sufficiency in energy and natural resource economics and policy studies, and energy and power systems engineering. Such activities include high-level workforce training, open forum debates, conferences, student research and field trips, and the establishment of a Master of Science degree focusing on regional issues in energy and natural resource management and policy. CENR prides itself on being an independent institution bringing together international, regional and local stakeholders to achieve important information sharing, technology transfer, capacity building and outcomes related to market development and institutional reform.
