The Computing and Information Sciences initiative is a multidisciplinary program that has its main research focus in the Laboratory for Applied Computing within the new B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences. The College of Computing and Information Sciences includes the Departments of Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, and Network Security and System Administration. Approximately 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students are matriculated in the degree programs offered by these departments. The Center for Advancing the Study of CyberInfrastructure (CASCI) undertakes applied research projects in collaboration with Industry and Government partners.
