Analog Devices Integrated Microsystems Laboratory

Capabilities

ADIML allows for the creation of miniature, high performance, low power, configurable, integrated electronic circuit and nanotechnology systems architectures and design methods for biomedical, telecommunications, image processing, robotic control, radio science, and consumer electronic applications. Additionally, the ADIML allows for research in the following fields:

Biomechatronic Learning Laboratory

Equipment

The lab houses several pieces of equipment that allow for robotic rehabilitation research activities. The main components of the equipment are:

Biomedical Device Engineering Laboratory

Capabilities

The laboratory contains various workstations that allow for for soldering, metrology of mechanical parts, prototype assembly, and testing. Additionally, the room is equipped with storage areas, bench tops, electricity, several personal computers, and multiple network ports.

 

Biomedical and Materials Multimodal Laboratory

 

Capabilities

The lab allows for a variety of imaging research including:

• Image processing

• Imaging data analysis

• Generation of realistic synthetic images

• Ultrasound imaging and characterization of materials

Brinkman Machine Tools and Manufacturing Laboratory

Capabilities

The Brinkman Laboratory allows for research into various aspects of machining and production, including:

• Optimization of process parameters on RAM EDM

Center for Computational Relativity and Gravitation

Capabilities

Using mathematical modeling and simulation, and advanced computation and visualization, the Center for Computational Relativity and Gravitation facilitates the following research:

• General relativity and gravitation, with application to gravitational wave physics and relativistic astrophysics
