The Interactive Collaboration Environments Laboratory (ICE Lab) is a computing lab that is part of the Research Computing Grid and is run by the department of Research Computing. The mission of the lab is to create a venue for faculty, staff, and student researchers to explore and develop advanced technology applications for real-time, interactive, n-way connections among people separated by distance. Capabilities and Equipment The ICE Lab allows access to a powerful computing grid that can handle a variety of research computing needs. The Research Computing Grid has access to: • 54 Computer systems • 27 Virtual computer systems • 250 Processor cores • 750 GB RAM memory • 64 10 Gigabit network ports • 150 TB of disk space Additionally, the lab allows for the use of the following software: • Comsol • ESI • Fluent • Harpoon • IDL/ENVI • MEEP • Silvaco • Xilinx • Cluster • BLAST • LAM • Matlab • Mathematica • MPI • MPIBLAST • MPICH • OpenMPI
