Microsoft Research seeks nominees who are advancing computing research in novel directions with the potential for high impact on the state of the art, and who demonstrate the likelihood of becoming thought leaders in the field.
The program recognizes faculty who are in the first 3 years of their first tenure track appointment. Faculty are chosen based on the breakthrough nature and overall societal impact of the research being conducted. The 2013 Fellows program is now open and applications are due by Oct. 22. Only one submission per university is allowed and the application must be submitted by the University on the faculty member's behalf.
