Samsung has announced its 2013 Global Research Outreach (GRO) request for proposals, available at http://www.sait.samsung.co.kr/saithome/01_about/ag_going.jsp.  Selected proposals will receive financial support for one year ranging from USD $50,000 to $100,000 including overhead (Samsung may choose, in some cases, to make larger awards for outstanding proposals). The GRO award may be renewed up to three (3) years based on project duration, research outcomes and Samsung business needs. Joint research proposals from multiple universities will be accepted through a single representative university.
 
All proposals are to be submitted on-line and the deadline to apply is Thursday, May 23, noon EST.  Notification of awards will begin on July 30, 2013 and projects are expected to begin on September 1, 2013.
