Sponsored Research Services is pleased to offer Grant Writer’s Boot Camp again in 2015. The Boot Camp is a two-day, intensive workshop on the mechanics of persuasive writing and peer review. Participation involves significant pre-work. Attendees will prepare a proposal for seed funding in advance of Boot Camp and a limited number of participants will receive awards. The Boot Camp is designed to introduce new faculty, or those with limited experience in grant writing, to the process of writing and winning external funding.
The Grant Writer’s Boot Camp will be held on January 19 and 20, 2015 at the RIT Inn and Conference Center. This year, we are pleased to welcome Jeremy Miner, as our speaker. Currently the President of Miner and Associates, Inc. and Director of Grants and Contracts and University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Mr. Miner has extensive experience as an administrator in higher education and leads a nationwide consulting group that specializes in training grant writers.
Registration is required. Please contact Dr. Rebecca Sumner, Proposal Development Specialist, at firstname.lastname@example.org to register. Deadline for registration is Monday, December 1, 2014.
