Sep 18th, 2013 -- dmbsrs

The Microsoft Graduate Women’s Scholarship is a one-year scholarship program for outstanding women graduate students nominated by their universities. The program supports women in their second year of graduate studies.  Further information is available at http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/collaboration/awards/fellows-women.aspx.

Eligibility Criteria and Limitations

Applicants must be nominated by their universities, and their nominations must be confirmed by the office of the chair of the eligible department. Direct applications from students are not accepted.  Up to three applications are permitted per eligible department and up to nine are permitted university wide.

Internal Applications and Deadlines

Graduate program directors must notify Hector Flores, Dean of Graduate Studies, about applicants by Tuesday, October 1, 2013.  Notification should include the student’s cv and a letter from the student’s advisor.  Dean Flores will make any necessary determinations about eligibility should interest exceed available slots.

Approved applications are due to Microsoft on October 16, 2013 using the application tool on their website.
