PRESENTATION, POSTER, AND EXHIBIT
SCHEDULES WILL BE FINALIZED AND
AVAILABLE AUGUST 3, 2012

Details For Presentations:

  • They will be scheduled in 15 minute time slots, grouped in the same area with presentations from the same session topic
  • This is approximately 12 minutes of presentation and 3 minutes of questions; please time your slides with that in mind.
  • Laptop's will be supplied by ITS and an ITS staff member will be present to help load presentations – PowerPoint, PDF, Prezi, Flash and remote slide clickers provided
  • You will need to bring your presentation on a memory stick to the room you are scheduled in on the day of the Symposium - August 10, 2012
  • There will be an ITS person to help - AM presentations to be loaded 8:00-9:15 AM, PM presentations loaded 12:30-1:45 PM
  • You must validate that your presentation works during this loading time to insure the presentations stay on schedule during the sessions
  • For PowerPoint presentations with videos, PLEASE make sure you save the video file with the PowerPoint document. This will ensure that PowerPoint can locate the video file. PLEASE check carefully that this works on the presentation laptop.
  • In summary - have your presentation ready before 8 AM August 10, pick up your nametag in SLA Lobby, load your presentation (at the AM or PM loading session based on your presentation time), make sure it runs during the loading session, remain in the room for the entire session in which you are presenting; a moderator and an ITS person will be in your presentation room to assist you.

Details For Posters:

  • Posters are to be a maximum of 4 feet wide, 3 feet high; posters should not be foam core mounted; bring your poster rolled up; poster stands will be provided.
  • Each Poster will have a unique, numbered display position for the day
  • Posters will be grouped with others of a similar topic near the Presentations for that topic
  • You will need to hang your poster between 8:00-9:15 AM and be available for public discussion of your work during the morning (10:45 – 11:15 AM) and afternoon breaks (3:15 – 3:45PM); posters can be removed at 5:00 PM
  • Additionally, there will be a 10 minute scheduled review with an alumni review team to provide you with direct feedback during the day; scheduled review times will be available August 3
  • In summary – have your poster ready before 8 AM August 10, pick up your nametag in SLA lobby, hang your poster at the specified location before 9:15 AM, be present at the poster for discussion during the 2 breaks and for review at your scheduled time, remove your poster at 5:00 PM.

Details For Exhibits:

  • Based on the type and size of your Exhibit, a location will be identified by August 3, 2012
  • You will need to setup your exhibit between 8:00-9:15 AM August 10 and be available for public discussion of your work during the morning (10:45 – 11:15 AM) and afternoon breaks (3:15 – 3:45 PM), remove your exhibit at 5:00 PM.
  • Additionally, there will be a 10 minute scheduled review with an alumni review team to provide you with direct feedback during the day; scheduled review times will be available August 3
