How do I apply?
To apply, complete the online application along with either a preliminary business plan or six slides outlined on the application site. For more information on applying, go see the application section of this website.
How do I qualify?
Businesses must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- An RIT student, faculty, staff, or alumnus as a founding partner; or
- Technology in one of RIT's core competencies of Imaging, Sustainability, or Bio-X; or
- Technology in renewable fuels or clean energy for admission into the Clean Energy Incubator.
In addition, the business concept must be scalable to at least $10,000,000 in annual revenue.
What does it cost?
The only cost to the startup is for monthly rental of office space. Rent is determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on the amount of space allotted.
Where do I access knowledge on legal advice?
Starting a business requires many legal decisions. Venture Creations does not offer legal advice, but we can refer you to a reputable lawyer. Refer to our partner's listing for more information.
Do I already have to have my business established?
No, but you do need to have a business concept.
