Emerald Technologies is a leading provider of ultra green data center cooling solutions. Our technology is exceptionally energy efficient and is the most effective cooling technology for data centers on the planet.
EnergyWise Partners (EWP) provides energy metering and online billing services that enable the creation of locally owned renewable energy utilities, disrupting the highly fragmented Heating Oil and Propane delivery markets. We focus on clean, renewable solar energy stored in the ground and concentrated into the home with a ground-source heat pump (GSHP). Called "geothermal" heating and cooling in the US, the up-front cost of installation keeps most homes and businesses bound to the high price of traditional fuels.
EWP overcomes the financial barrier by enabling a Utility model for Geothermal similar to Power Purchase Agreements for Solar. Private investors, property managers and consumer cooperatives can then invest in the superior returns of geothermal energy while bringing the many economic and environmental benefits to consumers and tenants. The consumer simply pays for the thermal energy brought into the home through a multi-year contract.

MCB Cleanroom Solutions, LLC, is developing a Micro Vibrational Energy Harvester (µVEH) that converts environmental vibrational energy into electrical power. The µVEH is a fingernail-sized microchip, the smallest of its class, and will provide enough energy to power a wireless sensor. This technology can be used to recharge or replace the batteries in wireless sensors, eliminating costly battery changes and disposal. The µVEH enables a host of other wireless sensor applications previously impractical because of their inaccessibility for battery changes. MCB won an award from the National Science Foundation to support the initial development of the µVEH. With the most recent award of a NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research and Development Agency) grant, MCB has specifically targeted HVAC (Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning) and building energy monitoring applications to provide savings in energy costs and greenhouse emissions. MCB is also working with Cornell University's Center for Materials Research (CCMR) on a materials development collaboration with support from New York State's JumpStart Program.

Palantiri Systems is transforming business collaboration with a unique platform that combines social networking with Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications, known as the Internet of Things. Within this platform, intelligent sensors and devices are able to participate in the community as full and equal members. These devices have profiles, friends, activity streams, etc. and can blog, chat, and otherwise be truly interactive participants in the collaboration process. Utilizing our platform enables our customers to focus on creating the vertical market specific, value-added applications that drive new revenue streams and significant cost savings. In short, this platform is changing the rules of how companies engage and interact with both the people and devices that make up their ecosystem, providing a pathway for dramatically differentiated value-added services that can be offered to their customer base.
How would you like to own your own social network? QuoJax lets you do just that. QuoJax is a social network that provides users privacy, ownership and control when it comes to content creation, communicating, and sharing on the Internet. QuoJax uses a point system called Quo to give you control over how you interact with others and to earn prizes. Heavy users of the system earn votes, called Jax, which give them more influence over the future of QuoJax – recent votes have been on what features to add, what charity to give money to, and on whether to dilute the Jax of the founders (we voted to dilute). Come join us!
Venture Creations is an invaluable resource to QuoJax. The majority of the QuoJax team is associated with RIT. The support of Venture Creations and its staff has been invaluable to us. We have gotten great advice, access, and been able to use facilities we would not have been able to afford otherwise.

TopDown Conservation LLC provides seamless, scalable and sustainable web-based software solutions for the $752B global Environmental Remediation (ER) market. This first-to-market system, EcoManager™, provides data visualization and real-time sensing solutions for portfolio management that minimizes insurance risk, reduces operational costs and cycle times. EcoManager provides a proactive risk management solution to users and an annuity-based solution to TOPDOWN. EcoManagers’ open architecture is designed to accept digital signals sent by any hardware and is manufacturer agnostic. We monitor and record real time data for immediate action by receiving remote sensor (water quality, soil, air, water flow and level, weather, et.al.) and hand held data on the property which allow for immediate resolution of a problem. This data is visually represented with GPS-located assets on the site. EcoManager creates consistent processes for reporting and decision making efforts by all stakeholders which allows the entire team a real-time status and a lead time to correct developing problems before discovery on the next site visit … when it may be too late.
