Megan Wells CIAS Senator
My name is Megan Wells and I am the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences (CIAS) Senator. I am a currently a third year Visual Media Photography student. I was born and grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Student Government was never something I ever planned on getting involved with, but when the opportunity arose I couldn't say no. I decided to get involved in Student Government because I wanted to be involved and make a difference in the RIT and CIAS community. I love RIT and I consider myself to be lucky to be part of this community.
I work mainly with the CIAS Ambassadors. The Ambassadors are a Student Advisory Board that come together the first Friday of every month to discuss and plan the improvements and changes we want to make within the college.
Some of the goals for this year are:
To work with the cage facilities to get extended hours for the weeks leading up to finals.
Make Building 7 look more like an arts building and less like a dungeon.
Try and standardize the use of mycourses for all professors.
Ensure the semester switch is as seamless as possible for all CIAS students.
I love getting feedback and suggestions so if you have anything you want to tell me, something you want to know, want to get involved, or just want to chat feel free to email me or stop by the SG office!
