Keith Delk Cross-Registered Senator
Hi! My name is Keith Delk. I'm a NTID-supported second year majoring in New Media Design with a minor in Public Relations and Advertising. Though I'm a second year student, I have been here at RIT/NTID since 2010. I'm from Beach Park, a small residential town in the northeastern corner of Illinois. I am your fourth Cross-registered Senator. My role is to represent the NTID supported students that are pursuing bachelors and/or graduate degrees in all of RIT's colleges.
I never expected to take office in RIT's student government up until last year when I discovered the cross-registered senator role. This role highly appealed to me since I have heard stories from students within the Cross-Registered community that inspired me to run and represent the best interests of the constituents. The last three years of this role was spent on constituting the newest senator role and now its time to focus on exposure. I'm excited for the upcoming year term. I want to provide the community an increased awareness of resources unbeknownst to some, whether those people be students, staff, faculty or anyone else.
I believe in transparency of communication. I will be posting constant updates and providing links to awesome resources. Make sure to check out one of those resources, our Cross-Registered Facebook page!
Don't have Facebook? Don't worry, shoot me your email and we can work something out.
I'm highly anticipating meeting everybody and looking forward to working with you guys! I will be having office hours if any of you want to meet up for a chat or to express concerns/issues/suggestions.
You probably can catch me long-boarding across campus to class or just for some mere enjoyment of fresh air. If you happen to catch me, give a wave and you'll be greeted with one back!
