Jamar Frater CHST Senator
Hi! My name is Jamar Frater. I am a third year Biomedical Sciences major and the senator for RIT's ninth college, the College of Health Sciences and Technology!
I became a part of Student Government because I felt it was really important to get active in the RIT community, as well as ensure that the voices of CHST students are being represented in RIT affairs.
As senator, I will be working with the Dean and other faculty members to ensure student concerns are considered as our new college develops. I'd also like to get students involved in CHST activities. Because this school is brand new, we have the opportunity to actively shape the future of their college in a way most students will never experience. I will be working with the Health Sciences and Technology Student Association (HSTSA) and other various organizations to put together events for CHST students, helping to build community within the new college. I would also like to bring the BODIES exhibition to RIT, allowing the whole RIT community an opportunity to experience a look into health and the human body.
