Wednesday Meeting 22-10-09

E-mail Print PDF

Members,

We had a light showing for the most recent meeting with a lot of members busy with homework but we were still able to discuss several topics.

Satellite Rotor

Justin Morse (KD8DYG) and Jameson Finney (KI4JOA) measured the cable length of the satellite station to be 142 feet from the club room to the base of the tower. We are currently looking at the different options of cable that we have and their price ranges.

 HF Rotor

The rotor in the club room is being checked as a possible replacement

Members,
For those of you who could not attend the meeting I have pasted below the agenda I had along with a few additional comments added during the meeting. A lot was covered over the range of topics, if anyone has any additional comments feel free to e-mail me. Also, I demonstrated the club "Light" Receiver kit and I thank those of you who signed up as having an interest to purchase one in the following weeks. If you did  not attend the meeting but would like to put your name in to buy one please send me an e-mail, you can expect the final cost to be between $5-$10 or even lower if you paid club dues. Thank you as well to those who signed up to help with the club fair this Friday. I need a few more people to help

All of you did a good job learning a few things about the amplifier although I know it may still seem complicated and intimidating, it's really not. I want to give an overview of tonight's interesting club meeting for those of you that could not make it.
We started the night off with a SKED (Scheduled Contact) that I had arranged earlier today on CollegeARC.com with the amateur
