RIT Chess Club

Welcome to the RIT Chess Club.

The RIT Chess Club provides a venue for playing chess, open to all RIT students and the public, regardless of ability. Club related activities include weekly meetings, mini-tournaments, and instruction. We meet in Gosnell (building 8) room 1154 from 6-10 PM on Fridays. Weekly meetings are casual and there is no obligation to attend. Being registered on the club roster is for email purposes only. An email is sent out to the roster the day before each weekly meeting as a reminder and to provide information on any updates or events. To stop receiving weekly emails, you can update your Link account settings or simply remove yourself from the roster. For up to date information on meeting times and location or for any questions, just email ritchessclub@gmail.com. We look forward to seeing you at the club!

You are welcome to bring your own chess sets to the club meet, although we have 10 sets of boards and a few chess clocks.

If you wish to get periodic news about the club activities, you can subscribe to our mailing list by joining the chess organization here
