Floor Meeting Minutes

Updates:

Christina Kim and Elisabet Arnesen will be leaving for winter and spring quarter. We will miss you!

President

• Elections for President, Historian and Secretary position. Elections most likely next quarter.

  • President – not available to freshmen who have been here for less than two quarters.

  • Historian – keep in touch with past alumni with I-House events and maintain pictures of I-House events.

  • Secretary – taking notes during e-board and floor meetings and offering community service hours to the floor.

• Happy Birthday Jesse!

Resident Advisor

• Pillow Making – making pillows out of clothes will happen on Thursday – let Carolina know when is the best time for everyone

• Door decoration contest

  • Judging will probably be on Friday

  • Cool prizes so decorate!

  • If you need paper or anything, Carolina and the RA office has a lot of supplies!

• Oct 22^nd and 23^rd – RHA office will host a haunted house. Donate canned food for admissions.

Vice President

• Oct 31^st – GU and SIH will have a Halloween Party

  • Global Union will host a costume contest – apply online to win!

• Support ADC, ACS, and other

• Global Union – Unification

  • Feb 6^th 2010

  • Talk to Sarah M. to help out!

• Unity House will have Tribute where I-House will probably do a short performance.

• Nov 7^th Floor Night – Mandatory: Meet in lounge at 7pm

  • Will be playing sports

Treasurer

• Will not be having the Karaoke Fundraiser Event.

• Please make sure you go to your committee meetings.

FM

• Thank you everyone for participating in the I-House Dinner!

• Will be having Kitchen Clean-up soon

• Please follow the rules that are posted up in the kitchen

• Will try to make next quarter’s dinner better!

Secretary

• Volunteer hours available for Global Union – at least 2 volunteers needed – look for more information outside the bathroom doors

• Volunteer hours available for ACS – volunteers needed for folding flowers

• Member Evaluations will be sent out during week 8 or 9

Public Relations

• Open House went well this weekend

• Please see me if you left after Thomas left to make sure of the hours you volunteered

• Need to update the fliers and posters

Webmaster

• Survey needs to completed

Open Forum

• Global Union Unification Event –

• Don’t just come to the floor meetings but pay attention please!

• Friday and Saturday – Night of One Act LBJ

  • Free but highly suggested that you bring $3

• Study Abroad Floor – Casual Get Together on Nov 15^th in their lounge.

  • Pizza and drinks will be served

  • Let’s form a group and go visit!
