InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is a non-denominational Christian organization at RIT. We are devoted to seeking a deeper understanding of God and his purposes for our lives. We study the Bible and encourage thoughtful questions through small study groups focused on specific areas of life. We grow as individuals and as a community through weekly Large Group meetings which include musical worship and a Christian message delivered by a guest speaker.
Faith is a journey that individuals travel at different paces. We welcome anyone to attend our events whether or not you believe in Christ; InterVarsity welcomes open, respectful discussion. Our chapter is founded on the teachings of the Bible, and we invite everyone to investigate those teachings with us. We desire to apply those teachings to our lives.
Despite this open invitation, we hold a specific, faith-driven doctrinal basis and vision as a chapter. It is our vision at RIT to see students and faculty transformed, campuses renewed, and world changers developed to the glory of God. To fulfil this goal, we reach out in love to the needs of our campus, and develop leaders through training and discipleship.

We welcome you to to join us in conversation, education, and fellowship. Whether you want to ask questions, learn about the Bible’s message, experience prayer, or enter a community, InterVarsity hopes to meet your need. We strive to serve all according to Christ’s example.
What We Do
InterVarsity is an Christian campus ministry which started in the United Kingdom. Colleges were sometimes called varsities, so intertwining collaboration among diverse college students became, InterVarsity; the organization then spread to the United States through Canada. RIT InterVarsity is a chapter of the national organization InterVarsity/USA, which is in turn a member of the International Federation of Evangelical Students.
